Springfield Park District Passes Balanced Budget; Eisenhower Pool to be Open

Springfield Park District Executive Director Derek Harms says even though money is tight, a big draw will be able to be open through-out the summer.

“This year, initially in the budget process, we thought we would have to close Eisenhower (Pool) down yet again but, fortunately through the budget process, we were able to balance the budget so we are happy to announce we will open Eisenhower this summer” says Harms.

The park district board passed a balanced budget this year and Harms says he does not anticipate any program cutbacks.
