Updated: I-55 Crash Is Fatal

A Springfield woman is dead, apparently of injuries sustained in a crash Tuesday afternoon.

The Sangamon County coroner says 59-year-old Sharon Kosmider was pronounced dead at 5:10 p. m. in the Memorial Medical Center emergency room.

Police say she drove her minivan off I-55 near Stevenson Drive around 1:20 p. m.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
