Police Seek Tips on North End Robbery


Police are looking for the public’s help in solving an armed robbery.

Sangamon and Menard County Crimestoppers says China King was robbed around 7:00 last Wednesday night. The suspect, a black male is his 20’s, about 5’7″ with a thumb sized mole on his left cheek, went into the business yelling “cash bag” and took all the money from the register. He then pepper sprayed the female employee.

Anyone with anonymous information could be eligible for a one-thousand dollar reward. Call Sangamon and Menard County Crimestoppers at 788-8427, head online or text message tips. Type TIP 672 plus a message and send to CRIMES.
