Police Seek Tips on East Side Armed Robbery

Police are looking for tips on an east side robbery that occured just after Christmas.

Sangamon and Menard County Crimestoppers says a 5’7″ black man held up 7 Brothers Grocery on south 11th Street around 630 the morning of December 27th. He displayed a black gun and ordered the cashier to give him money, an order to which the cashier complied.

The suspect took off running northwest. Any annonymous information leading to an arrest could be eligible for a one-thousand dollar reward. Call 788-8427, go online or text your tips to CRIMES.
