Police Looking for Tips on Springfield Armed Robbery

Springfield Police are looking for help solving an east side armed robbery that occured last week.

A taller man with a thin build, wearing a black ski mask entered the Brooklyn Tavern on south 15th street around 2:00 last Thursday afternoon. He pulled out a large silver handgun, ordered everyone in the bar to get down, then took cash and ran south through an alley.

Anyone with annonymous information leading to an arrest could be eligible for a one-thousand dollar reward. Call Sangamon and Menard County Crimestoppers at 788-8427, visit them online, or text message tips. Type TIP 672 plus a message and send to CRIMES.
