St. John’s Hospital Announces New CEO

St. John’s Hospital has a large economic impact to the community and incoming CEO Dr. Charles Lucore  aims to keep it that way.  Lucore was officially introduced Thursday.

“We are also committed to improving  the overall health of our community.  As a health system, HSHS provided  $185-milion in community benefit over the past fiscal year” says Lucore.

Lucore says the hospital has the only Children’s Hospital in the region and has a nationally recognized cardiology program.  He replaces former CEO Bob Ritz who resigned in May.

Lucore has been with the hospital system in 1992 to include a tenure as Executive Director of the Prairie Heart Institute.  By training, Lucore is a cardiologist.
