Make Your Emergency Plan Pet-Friendly

Illinois officials are encouraging residents to make emergency plans for their pets as well as themselves. The Emergency Management Agency and local departments will circulate that message during May.

Illinois Emergency Management Agency Director Jonathon Monken says pet owners should have a three-day supply of food and water, extra supplies of pet medicines, copies of registration and vaccinations, collar and leash, toys and treats.
