Kinzinger Supports President on ISIS, So Far

Republicans in Congress are worried about the message President Obama is sending both home and abroad about U.S. plans for dealing with ISIS. On State of the Union on CNN, U.S. Rep. Adam Kingzinger (R-Channahon) said he doesn’t want the president to rush into anything, but to make clear something will be done.

“Half the battle in this is public perception, and not just public perception of the American public, but our enemy – what is our enemy thinking after the president’s press conference the other day? Were they more worried about the United States of America, or are they less worried?” Kinzinger said.

Kinzinger said he’s supportive of airstrikes and other moves the president has made so far, which he credited for turning the tide in the region.
