Several parked cars and a fire hydrant were hit near 5th and Capitol in downtown Springfield this (Tuesday) afternoon.

Springfield Fire Chief Ken Fustin says a woman had a seizure while driving and hit the objects. She wasn’t seriously hurt but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The accident happened shortly after 1:00; crews diverted traffic for a short time while they worked to clean up debris.
