Don Cadagin Passes

Services are pending for a former Sangamon County prosecutor and judge who died while vacationing in South Carolina. Don Cadagin was 73 when he died Friday at a Myrtle Beach hospital after having recently had a stroke. The Springfield native was appointed state’s attorney in 1986 and was elected to the job in 1988 and 1992. He was elected as a circuit judge in 1994 and retired in 2005.
