Court Date Today for Cairo Bank Suspect

A Cairo man allegedly involved in a deadly bank robbery attempt will appear today in federal court.

James Watts has been indicted on charges of attempted armed bank robbery resulting in death. Watts was arrested hours after Anita Jo Grace and Nita Jo Smith were found stabbed at Cairo’s First National Bank. Both women died. A third worker survived the attack.
