Carillon Festival May Not Have Fireworks

Organizers of the the Carillon Festival in Washington Park have their doubts about fireworks during the festival this year.

The State Journal Register reports organizers say there’s not enough money in the festival budget for fireworks.

Springfield Park Board President Leslie Sgro says they would be grateful for any donations from citizens toward fireworks for the festival which takes place June 4th through the 8th.
