The country music legend marked his 81st birthday – yes 81! – by accepting a fifth-degree black belt in the Korean martial art of Gong Kwon Yu Sul.

The Black Belt honor comes just days after Nelson was inducted into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame. He is also an expert in the martial arts of kung fu and tae kwon do.
