Basketball icon Michael Jordan is a new father after his wife gave birth to twins.

The former sports star and his wife, model Yvette Prieto, became parents to daughters Victoria and Ysabel on Sunday.

A spokeswoman for the couple tells People.com, “Yvette and the babies are doing well and the family is overjoyed at their arrival.”

The twins are the first children for Jordan and Prieto, who wed last April.

The sports icon has three adult children from his previous marriage to Juanita Venoy.
