‘Layaway Angel’ pays off $21K in Christmas purchases

ORLANDO, Fla. – A Walmart shopper struck with the Christmas spirit surprised dozens of families by paying off their layaway balances.

Greg Parady overhead a woman say she would be unable to pay off her layaway balance and decided to help her and several others. Parady went to the store’s layaway counter and paid off her balance but he didn’t stop there – ringing up nearly $21,000 to pay off the layaway accounts of nearly 80 families.
