Dolphin ‘in distress’ on New York’s Coney Island

Police were called to Brooklyn shore on Thursday morning after a woman reported a dolphin trapped in a creek on Coney Island.

According to the New York Daily News, the caller said a dolphin appeared to be “in distress” as it swam in a creek near Cropsey Avenue.

Police and harbor patrol were responding, the paper said.
