‘Anchorman’ exhibit opens at Newseum

The Newseum will open its highly anticipated “Anchorman: The Exhibit,” featuring props, costumes and footage from the comedy classic “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.”

WASHINGTON (AP) — Ron Burgundy’s mustache brush and Brian Fantana’s Sex Panther cologne are just two of the things you can see in the “Anchorman” exhibit opening today at the Newseum in Washington.

There’s also a stuffed version of Burgundy’s dog Baxter in Channel 4 pajamas, Brick Tamland’s eyeglasses and a replica of the Channel 4 anchor desk.

The Newseum quotes Burgundy as saying he’s “literally trapped in a glass case of emotion.”

Visitors can tape an Anchorman TV spot introduced by Burgundy and have their pictures taken behind the anchor desk. The exhibit promotes “Anchorman 2,” which opens next month.
