What’s so great about Duluth, Minnesota? According to the September issue of Outside magazine, a lot.

The magazine lists its 16 best towns for people who enjoy the great outdoors and Duluth topped the list, thanks in part to votes from readers. Minnesota is the only state to boast two cities on the list – Minneapolis comes in at No. 3.

More than 6,000 acres of parkland, the city commitment to recreation, and a reasonable cost of living are among the reasons the magazine ranks Duluth as its top pick for the great outdoors.
