As Williamsville moves forward on a new building to house both the library and the box car museum, some are concerned the museum isn’t getting equal footing. Some residents raised questions on input from museum volunteers and pointed out the museum received a small amount of space on a preliminary floor plan. Village President Tom Yokley says the museum is equally as important as the library.
“The final floor plan has not been approved and this preliminary plan will address all those issues” Yokley says.
The transition team approved by the board will have 3 library board members as well as the 3 main volunteers from the museum working together on the project. The building is expected to be finished in a little over 2 years from now.
