A domestic dispute about cigarettes became bloody Tuesday night. Latia Henderson and Jalisa Cook, both of Springfield were arrested at the Red Roof Inn. Police were called to the motel on a domestic call and found that Henderson had been stabbed and both women had several scratches.
Cook told police that she refused to go out and buy cigarettes. Henderson told police Cook stabbed her. Both women had their children staying in the hotel room with them. DCFS was called and the young children were released to relatives. Henderson also has several outstanding warrants for forgery and burglary. Henderson was treated at the hospital and both women are now being held in Sangamon County Jail.
