SIU School of Medicine Makes Donation to Enos School

Enos school was once again the recipient of a long standing relationship with the SIU School of Medicine. Since 1986 SIU adopted Enos as a business partner and has been donating time and materials to a school that serves a large number of underprivileged students.

Alumni director Julie Robbs talks about today’s donation that filled a van. “The usual school supplies, notebooks, crayons, pencils. They’re in need for copy paper this year with the new curriculum they have, so notebook paper, copy paper, backpacks..”

Robbs says students and staff from SIU felt it was especially important that students have new materials as they start the school year in a brand new building. SIU continues to help Enos throughout the year with donations of coats, gloves, and shoes as well as mentoring programs and field trips.
