Second Man Accused of Pease’s Armed Robbery Stands Trial

The trial of one of the men accused of robbing a Pease’s Candy Shop last year is underway. DeMarco Poole is facing armed robbery and aggravated battery charges.

After a break, prosecutors showed video of Poole with his girlfriend Amber Graves together at the Paradice casino on the day of the robbery. The jury then listened to recorded interviews with Graves and the Springfield Police. Both the prosecution and the defense expects to deliver final arguments to the jury by Wednesday.

Towan Davis has already been sentenced to 20 years for the same robbery, while Poole’s brother, Michael Poole, is awaiting trial.
