Congressman Aaron Schock hopped aboard an R-V with his staff Monday to make a listening tour of his district…including 20 towns and cities in 14 days. Schock says this is no vacation while Congress is in recess and in many respects is more important that sitting in on endless hearings in Washington. The Congressman says it is his turn to listen and his constituents to talk.
“I will do less of the talking and more of the listening. I’ll just make some general comments about what is going on in Washington and then I’ll throw it open for questions,” says Schock.
Local stops include Jacksonville on Friday morning and stops in Chatham and Petersburg Saturday. (For the complete schedule you can go to http://schock.house.gov/)
