Riverton Schools Chief Resigned, to be Paid Through June

The superintendent of Riverton schools will be retiring in December.  Dr. Tom Mulligan has been with the district for 23 years .

The school board issued a statement saying there are irreconcilable differences with Mulligan and they say it has become “a distracting controversy in the community.” The school board has not responded to requests for comment outside the press release.

The controversy centered around the use of school district credit cards for personal use.  The board has agreed to pay Mulligan through June.
