Reward Offered for Busting Drug-Involved Elected Officials
Reward Offered for Busting Drug-Involved Elected Officials

There’s a $10,000 reward being offered in an effort to uncover any elected officials who are involved in heroin trafficking.

The Illinois State Crime Commission/Police Athletic League of Illinois is making the offer for the month of July as a way of ferreting out any officials who are protecting heroin traffickers or who are involved in the drug trade themselves.

The offer comes after a surge in heroin-related deaths and the recent arrests of police officers and southwest Illinois judges in connection with drug sales.
