Rauner Says His Experience is Needed to Control State Expenses

Stopping short of calling all politicians and union leaders corrupt, GOP candidate for governor Bruce Rauner says his background as a venture capitalist is what Illinois needs to dig itself out of its fiscal hole.  Rauner says he is ready to play hardball with union officials.
“I know how to take on the goverment union bosses in thoes contract negotiations and I’m going to bring that experience to bear in cutting costs in our goverment down in Springfield.”
Rauner says now is not the time to talk about specifics and what he would do to bring fiscal discipline to the state. Rauner adds he will only serve two terms and take only 1-dollar a year in salary.
