The temps may still be in the 90s but Sangamon County Public Health Director Jim Stone says it is not to early to get immunized against the flu and that is why the Health Department is opening their Flu Shot Clinics now. Stone says walk-ins are welcome at their building on South Grand Avenue East.
“The shots are $27, free for Medicare Part B and Medicaid and, we accept most insurance plans. The hours are Monday through Fridays. We open at 8:30 am” says Stone.
The department is also conducting mobile clinics throughout the county.
