Police Use Videos to Combat Heroin Use

State law enforcement officials are producing informational videos to combat what they say is an “epidemic” of heroin use.

The Illinois State Crime Commission and the Police Athletic League of Illinois announced yesterday that the videos will be made available to police, educations and public health officials.

The first ad features teenagers playing ball in a park, and the announcer asks: “When will we see this epidemic in plain view?”
