Meredosia Asking For Federal Aid After Floods
Meredosia Asking For Federal Aid After Floods

Officials in Meredosia are hopeful the federal government will provide aid for reimbursement after flooding along the Illinois River.  Preliminary cost estimates come in at about half-a-million dollars for Morgan County.

ESDA Coordinator Bob Fitzsimmons says that doesn’t even include the cost of cleaning up after the storms.  So far, Governor Quinn has requested federal aid for 27 Illinois counties along the Illinois River but Morgan County is no on the list.
