A number of services will be provided to seniors at upcoming seniors citizens fairs, says State Sen. Andy Manar (D-Bunker Hill).
“We’ll have services such as blood pressure checks and free classes that are available at St. John’s Hospital, for example,” says Manar. “Individuals who need reading glasses but can’t afford them, those will be provided
Manar, the Illinois Department on Aging and Public Health along with multiple other state agencies, non-profit senior service providers and local hospitals will be in attendance to also provide information on the Affordable Care Act.
The first fair will be August 28 from 9-11 a.m. at the 3rd Presbyterian Church in Springfield.
