Madigan Believes Governor Will Make Changes to Conceal Carry Bill

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan says she expects Governor Pat Quinn will use his amendatory veto power to make changes in the concealed carry bill on his desk.  Madigan, who is considering a challenge to Quinn, agreed that Quinn would likely restore the local options for police to deny concealed carry permits and decide where guns could be banned.  Madigan wouldn’t say whether she would sign the bill as it was passed, and she didn’t say when she’d decide about entering the Democratic primary for governor.
