Jerome Officials Confirm Muslim Appreciation Campaign is a Sham

The village of Jerome is responding to a national report that they have a school celebrating Muslim Appreciation Month in November.

Village President Mike Lopez confirms there is no Westhills Middle School with 300 students that would be reportedly praying to Allah.

“I’ve asked a number of people on the board. I’ve asked people that were in the meeting that knew about it. I have asked people over coffee and no one seems to know what’s going on.”

The www.nationalreport.net article features user comments claiming to be Jerome residents and backing up the report. Still, Lopez assures WTAX that the claims are false.

“There’s 18 pages of comments and people are saying ‘I was there. I went there,’ just following this fallacy…we have no idea where it’s coming from. We have no idea how to track it down.”

The report also says starting in November Westhills Middle School’s 300 students will pledge allegiance to the Afghanistan flag every morning. Lopez confirms the school, idea and even school principal Mohammed Ishir are fictional.
