Prosecutors in the case against former U.S. Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. are asking for permission to take control of his two homes.
Jackson is facing jail time for stealing nearly $750,000 from his campaign treasury. The 48-year-old and his wife, Sandi, own a home in Washington, DC.
According to the “Tribune,” a judge will decide whether to approve a process which would allow the federal government to take both properties. Sandi Jackson is under fire for failing to report about $600,000 in income to the IRS.
Both Jacksons will be sentenced on Wednesday.
