The Springfield Business Journal is changing hands.
Central Illinois Media, parent company of the Illinois Times, has purchased the 18-year old Springfield Business Journal, launched and developed by Brant Mackey.
“It’s a publication I have admired since it came to town,” said Central Illinois Media president and Illinois Times/SBJ Editor and Publisher Fletcher Farrar.
“It reaches an audience that we don’t ordinarily reach. We’re looking forward to engaging with the business community in this way,” he said.
Farrar says his staff is in place and he’ll use a lot of institutional knowledge to get his version of the Springfield Business Journal off the ground.
