Egyptian President Ousted in Military Coup

The Egyptian military is announcing it is now in control of Egypt.  The move comes after the expiration of a deadline for Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi to come to a power-sharing agreement with opponents.  In a statement, an Egyptian general said the country’s government disregarded calls for national reconciliation for months.
