The Springfield school board is planning an audit this fall to answer a question on the minds of some area residents. Board members have been hearing that the district is top heavy, with more administrators than what they need. Interim superintendent Bob Leming says that’s not the case.
“Its not that we have a large number of people sitting around drinking coffee wondering what they are going to do this afternoon. The case is we have a large school district.” according to Leming;
Leming says Springfield has far more schools in its district than any of the other similar sized school districts across the state. He supports the audit, saying it will clear the air for both the taxpayers and the school board.
