The City of Springfield is admitting at least partial wrongdoing in a Freedom of Information lawsuit filed by Calvin Christian.
In a decision announced late Thursday, the city’s requesting the court enter judgement, in part, in favor of Christian, who filed suit against the city after internal affairs files he requested were destroyed.
That’s Count 1 of 73 counts against the city. The city says it will continue to defend against counts 2 through 73, which stem from a different FOIA lawsuit where Christian requested ALL internal affairs files.
The city claims his request is unduly burdensome.
