Police have arrested the man they say is responsible for the stabbing that briefly locked down Springfield High School.
Reports indicate Tre Tucker, 18, was standing with a group in the 500 block of south State Street when the victim walked by. Tucker allegedly beat someone else earlier in the day, so an argument began again. The victim, who was taken to Memorial Medical Center, said he didn’t realize he’d been stabbed until later.
Tucker faces aggravated battery charges. Police say the fight and subsequent stabbing was not connected to Springfield High School.
