Antonio Phillips Sentenced to 65 Years

Antonio Phillips has been sentenced to 65 years for the 2009 murder and armed robbery of William Suggs. He will have to serve his full sentence before he is eligible for parole.

Sangamon County State’s Attorney John Milhiser says he was satisfied with the sentence as Phillips was a danger to the community.

Phillips was sentenced to 50 years, plus a 15 year enhancement for the use of a firearm in a murder. Jonathan Phillips, Antonio Phillips’ cousin, is charged with the same crime and his trial gets underway next month.
