Another Hiccup for Pension Reform

The University of Illinois system is, like all other publically-funded entities, is waiting for lawmakers to craft a budget for the next fiscal year so the schools can make plans.  U-I-S Chancellor Dr. Susan Koch  says it is frustrating to wait for the legislature to come to terms with the state’s next spending plan and it is her hope that lawmakers realize how important the University is the state.  The U of I’s Campus Faculty Association says they will sue the state if either the Illinois Senate or House’s current bills become law.  However, Koch says the association doesn’t officially speak for the faculty on the U-I-S campus.
