Macaroni Fest Coming to Springfield

America’s favorite noodle now has a special event. Westminster Cooperative
Preschool invites Springfield-area families to dine out on September 30 to support early
childhood education. Delicious food, great music and craft activities will be featured at the first annual Macaroni Fest on September 30 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M at Westminster Cooperative Preschool, located at 533 South Walnut Street.
A mouth-watering buffet of classic and modern noodle dishes will be served by Noodles
and Company while families enjoy an interactive children’s concert presented by Miss Carole of Macaroni Soup. Craft stations will be set up for families to make noodle art and noodle jewelry.

Tickets for the evening are $6 per person and may be purchased at the door in advance
on-line at www.westminster-preschool.org.

Social Service Groups Sue Governor for $100M Past Due

Illinois Republican gubernatorial candidate businessman Bruce Rauner participates in a Republican gubernatorial candidate debate Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, in Springfield, Ill. The four Republican gubernatorial candidates said that they’ll be willing to work with unions if elected but differed on how to approach the relationship during a downstate debate that largely focused on pension reform, taxes and just briefly on personal issues that have dogged some of the candidates.

Five dozen social service agencies working without pay for nearly a year because of the Illinois state budget stalemate are suing Gov. Bruce Rauner.
