Dave Dahl

Dave Dahl

Dave has been working in local radio since the early 1980’s and has now taken his talents to Newsradio 1240 and 107.5 FM WTAX as our morning news anchor, and Statehouse reporter — joining our team in 2007.

Dave is a native of Champaign and a graduate of Bowling Green State University. He worked at stations in Michigan and Indiana before spending eleven years asĀ  news director of WMBD Radio in Peoria.

Dave’s one of those people that’s able to function on little sleep, put simply, because he loves the news and… well, he drinks a gallon of coffee a day.

Dave’s oldest son, Clifford, suffers from a rare disorder called Batten Disease. In his spare time Dave operates Dave’s Homeroast, roasting his own coffee beans for sale online at www.daveshomeroast.com. Proceeds benefit the Batten Disease Support and Research Association.

It’s the best french roast you’ll ever have.

Dave, his wife Corrina and two sons live in Chatham.
