Woman Beaten, Robbed Outside Conestoga Steak 'N Shake

A woman was beaten and more than $2,400 taken outside the Steak N Shake on Conestoga Drive in Springfield late last night.

The victim told police a short, stocky black man wearing a black wind breaker with white cuffs beat her with a brick several times until she fell to the ground. Another assailant allegedly held her to the ground while the first man took the bag filled with the restaurant's night deposits. She drove herself to Memorial Medical Center for treatment.

No surveillance video is available from the back of the restaurant or any surrounding businesses.
