UK minister Mitchell quits after police outburst

LONDON (Reuters) - British cabinet minister Andrew Mitchell resigned from the government on Friday after widespread criticism of his behavior during a confrontation with police outside Prime Minister David Cameron's Downing Street office, the government said.
