State Represenitive calls for more school choice

A state lawmaker is using teachers strikes in Chicago and Lake Forest as an opportunity to point out why he thinks more school choice is needed. State Rep. Tom Morrison (R-Palatine) says he’ll back legislation to raise the limit on charter schools, and he’ll work to resurrect legislation that would give students vouchers to pay private school tuition, even though the number of charter schools now operating is nowhere near the limit.
