SMTD To Launch Social Media Pages



The Springfield Mass Transit District is hoping is customers will use social networking to keep in touch with what's going on with its service. 

SMTD Executive Director Frank Squires says starting October 1st, ths service will officially launch its Facebook and Twitter accounts.

"A tweet will be going out in the morning advising that all bus service is on time, and whenever we have a delay we will put out a tweet advising where the delay is and how long the delay is," says Squires.

On Twitter, SMTD can be found at SMTD_online.  On Facebook, it will be under Springfield Mass Transit.
