Restaurant Manager Accused of $13k Theft

A Springfield man has been arrested after allegedly stealing nearly $13,000 from his place of employment.

Police arrested 24-year-old Isaac Copi, night manager of the North Dirksen Steak 'N Shake, after the restaurant's bank notified its owners of several discrepancies spanning the last month.

Security footage allegedly shows Copi slipping something into his pocket from the safe on September 25th, when more than fifteen-hundred dollars was reported missing. Copi was the only employee on duty at the time.

That alleged theft was one of ten recorded between this Tuesday and September 1st.
