Quinn Blames Republicans For Failed Pension Reform

Governor Pat Quinn says Republicans have sabotaged every effort to reform the state's pension systems.

Republicans offered only a handful of votes when the House voted Friday to change their own pension system. They say it doesn't make sense to reform their own system first, claiming it accounts for less than one-percent of the 83-billion-dollar liability.

But Quinn says lawmakers can't expect anyone else to give up retirement perks if they aren't willing to do the same.
