Police Seek Tips on Walgreens Robbery/Assault



Sangamon and Menard County Crimestoppers is this week seeking tips on a robbery and aggravated battery at the Walgreens in the 3200 block of Clear Lake Ave.

Police say a skinny black man, likely in his 40's and about 5'9", allegedly jumped behind the counter and shoved the cashier on February 3rd. He took several packs of cigarettes before running away.

Anyone with information leading to an arrest could receive up to a one-thousand dollar reward. Tips can be phoned into 788-8427, or can be submitted via text message. Type TIP-672 plus your message and send to CRIMES.
