Iraq War Veteran and Dancing With the Stars Winner Visits LLCC.

Dancing with the Stars winner and wounded Iraq War veteran J.R. Martinez met with student veterans at Lincoln Land Community College Monday about veterans issues and education.

Martinez told the students that on those days they are uncertain, to have faith that their training and education have prepared them...

In 2003, Martinez suffered severe burns to over 40 percent of his body while serving in the US Army in Iraq.  He now tours the country and speaks to schools, veterans groups, companies, and organizations about his story.  He is writing his memoir which will be published this fall.
